Melyni
Worth PhD, PAS, Dipl ACAN
ARPAS Board Certified Equine Nutritionist
Originally from
Great Britain, by way of Kenya, Dr. Worth has a Bachelors
degree in Agricultural Biochemistry from Newcastle University,
received a Masters in Equine Nutrition from University College
of Wales (Aberystwyth) and a Ph.D in Equine Nutrition and
Exercise Physiology from VPI & SU (Virginia Tech).

Melyni holds a
British Horse Society Assistant Instructors certification
(BHSAI), and an International Trainers Licence (II) from the
European Union, and has trained horses and taught riders for
28 years. She has taught riding and horse management programs
at college level as well as being a life-time rider and competitor.
Melyni trains and rides (sometimes competitively) in Eventing,
Dressage, Hunters and Jumpers. She has also worked in Side-saddle
and Combined Driving.
She does some breeding
of sport horses but specializes in the preparation (including
training) of horse and rider for athletic endeavor. Based
in Stuarts Draft, Virginia, Melyni works as a consultant and
writer in equine nutrition and exercise physiology.
Meg
Jones
Originally from Springfield, IL, Meg moved to Virginia at
twelve and grew up riding pony hunters. She has a Bachelors
degree in Animal Science from Virginia Tech, where she and
Melyni first met and were roommates. Meg then spent 12 years
in the banking world before joining Foxden Equine full time
in 2000 as the office manager and bookkeeper.
She is an avid rider and competitor and has a homebred WB
cross gelding by Shine named Tyler, who competes in the Hunters.
